Definitions

Terms & Conditions Apply to web shop purchases and outline your rights and obligations. The website webshop.bdplastics.co.uk will herein be referred to as the ‘Web Shop’.

Conditions

These Conditions shall be deemed to be incorporated in all agreements entered into between the Seller (we, us, our, B&D) and the Buyer (you, your) for the sale of any goods. The Agreement for Sale contains all agreements, warranties, conditions, representations and other terms in connection with the Goods and Services.

Prices

The prices for the Goods (exclusive of V.A.T.) are shown in the Web Shop. All prices are shown in £ GBP and the applicable VAT rate is applied at ‘checkout’. Prices quoted on the Web Shop are those in effect at the date of quotation/order. B&D reserves the right to increase prices when it accepts your order, for any of the reasons listed below; however, in such instances you will be contacted and given the option to continue or cancel the order. Reasons: changes in duty, tax, surcharges, significant currency impact, transportation charges.

Payment

We accept all credit cards and debit cards which are stated on the Web Shop at checkout. All credit card and debit card payments need to be authorised by the relevant card issuer. Payment will be taken from your card when the order is placed on the Web Shop. If payment is unsuccessful, you will be contacted by email and/or phone; if we are unable to make contact, we will cancel the order and notify you by email.

Delivery Charges

Up-to-date delivery charges are listed on the Web Shop within the ‘Delivery & Returns Policy’ section. All delivery charges relate to UK mainland delivery, For orders outside UK mainland, delivery costs will be calculated and communicated on a case-by-case basis prior to despatch. We aim to ensure your order is delivered within the delivery period agreed/outlined; if delivery is delayed, we will contact you.

Delivery

Communicated delivery dates are made with best intentions using information available at that time; however, delivery dates are a ‘best-estimate’ and not guaranteed. Deliveries will be made to the address specified on the order; if no one will be available to take delivery of the order, contact us to advise revised dates, alternative addresses or delivery instructions. Upon receipt of goods, please inspect as soon as possible; any missing or damaged items must be reported to us by e-mail within 3 days of the items being delivered. B&D will not be held responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, material or immaterial, resulting from delays with deliveries.

Orders

You are urged to check your order carefully, ensuring all information is correct. and amend any errors before you submit it to us. Once the order has been placed you will receive an email containing a summary of your order; at this stage please re-check the order and inform us as soon as possible of any requested changes. (This is critical as at the same time of your email confirmation the system generates the order and for us to accept and action) Once the order has been processed and despatched you will receive an Invoice receipt; at this point a legally binding contract is formed. On occasions, we may choose not to accept your order, reasons include excessive volume, payment rejection, a significant pricing. In such instances we will contact you via the email details provided with your order.

Making changes to your order

If you wish to make any changes to your order (corrections, additions or cancellations) after it has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible. If this order has not yet been processed, we can amend, correct or cancel & refund; however, if it has been processed the ‘Product Returns & Refunds’ process will be applied.

Product Availability & lead-times

We cannot guarantee that all products shown on the Web Shop will be ‘readily’ available and a lead-time will occasionally exist. Once we receive your order, if we feel lead-times of certain items are excessive, we will contact you to discuss this and/or alternative solutions with shorter lead-times. If your original order is affected by such situation, and that we are in agreement, any payment variations will be refunded/taken.

Product Returns & Refunds

You have 7 working days from receipt of goods to inform us of planned product returns. To do this either call or email us; we will then issue a product returns number that should be marked on the returns documentation and package. Please ensure all goods are in a saleable condition and securely packaged prior to return delivery to our Warehouse using a reputable UK carrier. On receipt of goods, we will check condition of the goods and communicate receipt to you. The refund will be processed within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods. A 20% re-stocking charge will be applied to all returns. NB:- Products not eligible for ‘Return’: Solvent Cement, Cleaner & other liquids, Pipe Lengths, Pipe Coils, High Purity Plastics (e.g. PVDF) & Made-to-Order products.

Order Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order that has recently been placed, please contact us. If this order has not been processed then we can cancel and refund; however, if it has been processed the above Product Returns & Refunds process will be applied. Agreed cancellations will be refund (including basic delivery charges if the full order is cancelled) as soon as possible. We will issue your refund to the same payment method you used when you placed your order.

Product Complaints

We ensure all products despatched are in full working order at point of despatched and are more than adequately packaged; however, in the unlikely event of a product quality issue/failure please notify us straight away to discuss the issue. Photographs and any additional information will help resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If you do wish to make a complaint, please contact us.

Protecting your Information

All information you provide will be dealt with in strict confidence, will not be shared with any other parties and will be handled, stored, used and protected in line with GDPR regulation
